Kristin is an investigator, a nurturer, a teacher, and an introspective. She is a highly sensitive person, and a canary in the coal mine. She feels all of the things, and calls out both the beauty and the poison. Kristin sees what is often invisible, and always roots for the underdog. She loves creating relationships where women feel safe and known.
Kristin has a BA in Interdisciplinary Social Science, an MA in Special Education, and a boatload of certifications related to teaching. She loved serving adolescents and their families as a special education teacher, and thought she had found her life's work. Having cancer at 29, and later, a quirky child with health issues, changed the trajectory of her life. Surprising everyone, and most of all herself, she became a keeper of the home. Since then, she has awarded herself a PhD in traditional nutrition and cooking, thyroid health, and living well with chronic illness.
Kristin and her husband Paul are raising two free spirited (feral?) children in Fort Collins, Colorado. She loves music, art, poetry, yoga, reading voraciously, being at the ocean, kitchen dance parties, the moon, working toward having an urban homestead, homemaking as spiritual work, quiet acts of revolution, and all of the hilarity, please.
